King Hussein of Jordan and Dr. Sami Khoury during the opening of Palestine Hospital in 1960 Amman Jordan

History

The Hospital was built in the late fifties and started to receive patients in 1960. Within a short period of time of its inauguration under Royal Patronage in June 22, 1960, it became an important and successful catalyst, playing a major role in the development of medical services in the region. It has been witness to many medical breakthroughs as well as major historical events since that time, the most dear to our heart of which is the birth of HM King Abdullah II in room 106 on January 30, 1962.
